Who are we
Storehouse is a non for profit charity that Storehouse offers food, clothing, bedding, baby equipment and other household items to those living in the borough of Melton who are in need and who have been referred by one of the local agencies.

Your Rights
You have the right to know, access, correct, restrict, delete and object to how we use and process your personal information. You also have the right to complain, both to us and to the data protection regulation.
How we gather your personal information
We hold information that you provide to us. Information is gathered about referrals through the referral agency, referral forms as well as face to face meetings that happens with the Storehouse visitor.
Personal identity details (referral form) and notes will be securely managed in a locked filing cabinet.
We keep information of your sessions for continuity of care. These notes are coded and kept separately from your personal details (referral form).
How we use the personal information
Personal data of Storehouse visitors and referrals may be anonymised and used for statistics for sharing with donors or for grant funding applications.
How we share your personal information
The content of the face to face interview sessions are confidential. There are however, legal and ethical requirements which may make it necessary for Storehouse to break the code of confidentiality. These would involve a criminal act such as intent to commit an act of terrorism, intent to seriously harm yourself or another person, the selling of illicit drugs or substances or a child protection issue. We may also share your information with a relevant agency if we are concerned for a persons well being.
Retaining your personal information
We retain coded summaries of the face to face sessions which are non-identifiable. These will be reviewed annually and held for a maximum period of 2 years. Personal identity details (referral forms) will be held for 3 months until that are invalid.
Your consent
We retain people’s personal information for the time that people have given us the permission. You can at any time object to how we retain your personal information.
